Description

Franz Sandner is a German instrument maker founded in Schönbach in 1924. Since 2002 the company has run its own factory rather than outsourcing production, keeping timber sourcing and every stage of manufacture under its own control — which is how German design standards reach the finished instrument.

The Franz Sandner SG-170 is the larger grand in the Sandner range. The extra string length over the 151 cm model gives a deeper, longer-sustaining bass and more room for dynamic shading — a step towards a recital instrument.

This instrument is finished in polished black and is supplied with a matching piano bench.
